California based PROG-THRASH band PROTOTYPE released their critically acclaimed second album “Continuum” in 2006 via Nightmare Records.  The following year, the PROTOTYPE song “The Way It Ends” was selected for inclusion in the Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock video game.  The game was released shortly before Christmas of 2007 and quickly became the biggest selling music rhythm video game of all time.  Consequently, PROTOTYPE gained a substantial amount of exposure as well as remarkable number of downloads on iTunes of their single “The Way It Ends”.

PROTOTYPE have now become recent additions to the ROCK BAND video game as well!  “The Way it Ends” is officially for sale HERE and also through the in game store and the live market place from the 360 dashboard.

PROTOTYPE are expected to release their new album “Catalyst” via Nightmare Records in 2012.

PROTOTYPE ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM TITLE AND TRACK LISTING

Los Angeles based progressive/aggressive metal band PROTOTYPE will release their 3^rd full length album “CATALYST” in early 2012 via Nightmare Records.  Nearly 2 years in the making, “CATALYST” is a science fiction themed concept album featuring 12 tracks and over 60 minutes of all new music.  The effort was produced by PROTOTYPE and is currently being mixed by Neil Kernon.  “CATALYST” will be mastered by Alan Douches and artwork will once again be created by Travis Smith.  The official release date for the album will be announced soon.

PROTOTYPE’s last album “CONTINUUM” was released in 2006 and featured the song “The Way It Ends”, which appeared in the best-selling music video game of all time Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.

Teddy Moller (guitarist/singer) plays for a band called Loch Vostok (http://www.facebook.com/lochvostok) from Sweden and is represented by the same management as Prototype, Intromental.

Last week, tragedy struck and Teddy’s home was burnt down to the ground leaving him and his family (wife Jessica, son Max (teen) and daughter Nova, (9)) homeless, They have lost everything. Those that know Teddy will attest to how much they love him as a person. He has a personality of gold. We met him in person back in 2003 when Prototype and Loch Vostok played a festival together in Amsterdam and one other gig in Den Helder. I remember vividly how welcomed he made us feel to be in Europe and it was a blast hanging out. Our experience there would not have been the same were it not for Teddy Moller.

Those of us that have families to care for can’t fathom something like this happening to us. What we’re asking for, if you are able to do so, is to donate any clothes, toys (for the kids), and/or money. Your generosity will go a long way to helping them in this very tough time and if you can get it there by Xmas, it will make it even better. As far as clothes sizes (for shirts, etc.) to send, Jessica and Nova are small, Teddy’s a big “teddy bear” and Max is your average teen size.
